Mercs-For-Hire launches today and I couldn't feel any better! Hello everyone, I am Raynor Foxhound, the creator, writer, and website administrator of Mercs-For-Hire. My counterpart, Mrown, might not be here too often to tell you about updates or the such, so I will keep you posted on such events. Mercs-For-Hire had some problems getting on the Internet for a while actually. If you have plans to start your own webcomic, make sure to know what you're doing and plan it out in advance. If you don't, you'll regret it, trust me. Originally, there was supposed to be another artist, but because of time-related issues, uncomplimentary story ideas, and loss of will, he gave up on the project, making me turn to Mrown. Mrown is a great artist that literally brings my writing to life with his great visuals. We are good companions, so I don't see our partnership in this going sour, meaning that Mercs-For-Hire will live and, maybe, thrive! Now, what is Mercs-For-Hire you might ask? Well, imagine a post-apocalyptic world with demons, criminals, heretics, and insane bad guys with too much free time on their hands. Not a pretty picture, is it? The nobility felt the same way. The nobility had wanted to purge this menace from their lands, but lacked the strength (and the will) to do so. Shouting a cry for help and offering money with it, warriors came from all over the world to meet the challenge and win a fortune. These warriors were referred to as Mercenaries, or Mercs for short. The Mercenaries were successful, both in their campaign and business. So successful, they began to organize the Mercs of the world into a new, revolutionary industry that was coined the MI: the Mercenary Industry. The MI has become the most lucrative industry in the world, and those ranked the greatest of them have the most political and military power one could have and want. The Industry has become a strange government where official position aren't something one is elected or appointed to, but rather earned by the success of the hard-working Merc. Although the list of successful Mercs goes on and on, this story is nothing about them! Mercs-For-Hire, a group led by Raeda Lorre and Raynor Foxhound, is so low on the ladder of success, they haven't begun to climb it! Each member has a certain character flaw which interferes with the only thing they are good at. As one can see, this makes for a huge number of awkward missions and events that will leave them hurting physically, mentally, and emotionally. Watch them as they strive to ascend the ladder of success! However, with their less-than-ideal mission statement ("Cheap prices for even cheaper service!") and their rather unattractive slogan, ("We don't get it right, we just get it done!") we assure you that won't be happening anytime soon! Well, I believe that fills in all the questions for now. Cast pages and the such will be up as soon as I get to creating them, so look out for any updates when they are made. The foxboy is out of here! Next stop: Grunt Work... yay.... Contact: *Note: To avoid spam, please remove "REMOVE" from the e-mail link to get into contact with us.
